I’m from downstate Illinois but have lived and Chicago, Los Angeles and, most recently, Altadena California until the Eaton Fire in 2025. I am a sketch artist, painter, and printmaker. My garage studio and some of my work was lost to the fire. I’m rebuilding a portfolio, focusing on nature and urban landscapes of California (which I miss) and downstate Illinois (which I love). 

I strive to mix stylistic realism with a sense of emotion and aliveness in my sketches. 

I studied Art and Art History at Augustana College in Rock Island, IL, focusing on oil painting, design, and life drawing. I also love working in gouache, watercolor, and linocut prints. My inspiration and influences range from Düer and Sargent to Norman Rockwell. 

I am also an actor-writer-filmmaker.
